InHand Digital Strong Motion Networked Monitoring System
The 5.12 Sichuan earthquake shocked China, the following rescue and rebuilding actions are responded by all Chinese people and people from all around the world. Facing this massive disaster, InHand knows its social responsibility and is making the best effort to contribute on the informatization work of China’s seismic monitoring. Back at the end of 2006, with great support of experts from professional seismological constitutions including China Seismological Bureau, Seismological Bureau of Tianjin and Seismological Bureau of Yun’nan, InHand Co. has developed China’s first digital strong motion networked monitoring system, which was successfully applied in the Project of National Digital Strong Motion Monitoring Network Building, one of the country’s 10th five-year plan projects. The system largely increased the informatization level of China’s earthquake monitoring, got wide praise from related government constitutions. The system, consisted by client-end strong motion equipment, wireless/wired communication terminal and central management platform, is named OVDP Digital Strong Motion Networked Monitoring and Management System. This networked monitoring system can realize network access, central management and data aggregation from an array of seismic equipment of different brands, models, and protocols, therefore hidden the complicated network details and optimized data transmission. One thing to note is that the central management platform contains GIS based web management system; user can check the connection status and parameters of remote equipment by directly clicking on the equipment mark on the GIS map. Below is a captured screen: The Digital Strong-motion Networked Monitoring System of InHand has been successfully applied by the Seismological Bureau of Tianjin and that of Yun’nan, the seismic terminal equipment supported by this system basically covers all the common seismic equipment used in the industry, including the following major models: 1. K2, Etna by Kinemetrics Inc.
2. MR2002 by Syscom Instruments
3. GeoSIG GSR-18
4. GSMA-2400IP by Beijing Gangzhen Mechanical and Electronic Technology Co., Ltd.
5. GDQJ-II by Engineering Mechanics Institute of China National Seismological Bureau
In coming days, InHand will continue its effort to improve the service on seismic monitoring informatization. For more product information, consult us at: 86-10-61965555 ext. 8005/8006.
